Deck Mate is a series of skins for Delta, based on the concept of an arcade-style control deck. It was designed as a play surface to be used while broadcasting the game to an AirPlay display. I initially had this idea while thinking of how to make a controller for iPad that would be easy to share with my nephew. I wanted to recreate the experience of gathering around a TV to play games, passing a controller between two players.
This was an extremely fun project to do, because Deck Mate supports every system that Delta is able to emulate, and comes in a wide variety of Special Editions and control schemes. Playing with touch screen controls while looking up at a TV may not be the best experience, but Deck Mate works great when you place your iPad on your laptop keyboard, AirPlaying to macOS.
